I’m always about the work of simplifying our life. Reading books, blogs, making & re-writing lists, I find a lot of joy in peace and order and finding ways to make our life more beautiful and efficient.
Its kind of silly, but these smoothie cups do just that for me.
A few months ago Josh switched to a default breakfast. In an effort to have something easy and healthful, I started making the same thing every morning. It’s a Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie. I use half a frozen banana, one packet of this chocolate protein powder, a scoop of peanut butter, organic milk (sometimes unsweetened vanilla almond milk if Hugo is having some) and a few ice cubes. It’s delicious and tastes almost like a Wendy’s frosty! The macros are pretty good and we’re ready to roll.
After several weeks of losing my good drinking glasses or finding nasty cold cups at the office or in the car, I went on Amazon and ordered a 100 pack of smoothie cups, lids and straws. I cannot tell you what a difference this $21.99 purchase has made! They are the perfect size and the straw is really big like the ones you use for bubble tea. I love having a stack of these cups in my kitchen to easily transport drinks. Josh can easily take his breakfast with him and we can share with Hugo and not have the entire cup land inside down on the floor.
And there you have it, my most recent mom/life/simplifying hack.
Do you have any funny little purchases that save time or make your life better? Please share!

Funny, I’ve been doing the same thing with Ora protein powder, frozen berries, MCT oil, and spinach! I may have to order some of those cups sometime. Great idea! My new mom hack I’m trying to incorporate is batch roasting vegetables and precooked grains.
Great site you have!
