Last week’s Dallas trip had one special little detour…
Our flight was later in the day, so we planned to get up early and drive to Waco in time for breakfast at Magnolia Table. Well, Hugo decided to sleep in the for the first time in his life and threw our plans out the window. Neither Josh or I was complaining though, it felt really great to get up at 7:30am (what have we become?!?)
There were so many sweet families there and everyone was offering to snap photos for each other. I loved how intentional the entire place was. With green space for kids to run around, food trucks, good bathrooms, it was worth the drive!
I haven’t done a great job of keeping up with the show, but I am constantly impressed by Chip & Joanna and their strong witness and hard work. They completely embody their brand and I think you can feel that they really love people by the way the Silos operate, even with hoards of people at 10am, it is a peaceful place to be.
Next time I would most definitely come early and have breakfast at the restaurant. It was over an hour wait for us so we ended up grabbing coffee and pastries at the take away window. Hugo had the Chocolate Chip Cookie, Josh and I shared a Cinnamon Roll and my Lavender Latte was so so good!
