Last week was a rough one. Like, it wasn’t one particular thing, it was just off and nothing was working, the weather was awful, I was frustrated and couldn’t shake feeling very down. Some weeks are just harder than others and it makes me grateful for the ones that are sunnier. Literally and figuratively.
I can hear my son jumping up and down in his crib, resisting his nap. My face is bright red from a too-long exposure to a face mask (#maskingandmultitasking thanks to the fantastic Lindsey Regan Thorne for the inspiration), I used this one and I love it, is it strange to say that the color is amazing and brings out the green in my eyes. Haha! Oh, and don’t leave it on too long. I need an ice-cube, or a cooling mask of some sort…
I’m still holding out hope that I’ll sit down and work on my personal goals for this new year. But I don’t know that this will happen. I’m working through a few things in my heart and soul and I feel like they should be put at a higher priority than “drinking more water” or “kon-mari-ing the socks”. However, I was very inspired by Something Pretty and Em for Marvelous to make an inspiration board for my year and I started it over the weekend, I really love the visual reminder of what’s important and I hope it ends up to be something worth sharing.
Today, I’m off to clean the car (WHYYYYY SO MANY GOLDFISH?!?) and get it ready for a quick road trip, swing by Target for toilet paper and probably more goldfish (hmm…) and working out together with Josh this afternoon. Hugo was a little sneezy last week and I didn’t want to spread germs around so I was unable to get to the gym all last week, I’m ready to get back in there! Then we’re on to the rest of our week, a little travel, some yummy recipes lined up, a fun baking project at the end of the week and assorted busyness.
What is something you’re looking forward to this week?
I'd love to hear from you, leave a comment below!
