Well, we’re hanging in there. Most definitely by one finger, over a ledge, with a raging waterfall below, but we still got it.
There are less than 2 weeks to go and goodness, movie making is not for the faint of heart.
We’re gearing up for our 4th move as a couple (and my 7th in 5 years) and in preparation almost bought a house. It was a whirlwind of finding a place, and placing an offer within days, sight unseen, the offer was accepted and after a 7hr drive up to look at it in person, was ultimately turned down by us. It was a bit sad, but we were so grateful for the experience (buying a house isn’t so scary anymore) I cried into my taco salad as we sat in The Factory and made our final decision. Josh is correct, there is nothing sadder than crying and eating a salad. Haha! I think it was more out of just wanting a something permanent for the next bit of time (and I’ll be honest, being able to paint my own walls would be nice too). This house was just too small for us and the updates were way more than we had time for at the moment.
I finally got around to giving myself a good summer mani/pedi, I don’t know about you, but I feel so unkept when my nails are bad. And, as a 30 year old woman, I’ve finally decided that I do not like going to the nail salon. It’s the exact opposite of relaxing for me and I’ve had so many bad experiences that I really prefer to do my own. I have this gel kit as well as a half dozen of my favorite colors and it’s so fast with gorgeous results. Current color (matchy-matchy for my fingers and toes) is “Red-y to Party” and its a bright, almost-neon, orange-red. I love this particular color because it doesn’t need multiple layers, just one, along with the base and top coat and you’re good to go!
Tomorrow one of the other film wives set up a fun field trip to an alligator farm (I don’t know what the official name is), all I know is that I’m a little nervous and I made the mistake of looking it up when Hugo was around. Apparently they have over 450, FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY live alligators at this place and he hasn’t stopped talking about it all day. I was reminded of the Nate Bargatze sketch on Netflix (which if you haven’t seen, do yourself a favor! He’s clean, and so so funny) about the “Serpentarium”. Josh was like “Please don’t let Hugo out of his stroller and don’t let him hold anything”. Haha! So aside from all of that, what does one wear to an alligator farm? Any outfit inspo for me?
Ok, I’m out of content here tonight, time for my bed and some ice cream and a show.
I'd love to hear from you, leave a comment below!
