We began the month with our final days in Fairhope, Alabama. This is the precious town that holds some hard and holy memories. We wrapped on the film and all I can say at the moment is OH MY GRACIOUS! Save the date for 3.20.20, you will not want to miss this seeing this beautiful love story in theaters (and then a hundred more times) I Still Believe Movie
We had less than 10 days to turn around our apartment and have it completely packed for the moving company. It was a little intense. Josh was overseeing the move for the entire company and their office spaces and had to leave on a work trip right there int he middle too. The night before we left, I was so overwhelmed that I curled up on our bed and checked instagram for an hour while Josh finished the rest of the packing. And then he went and went to the store for more boxes and some ice cream. He’s a good man.
The amazing things you find while packing! Our little man has been such a trooper through the last few weeks especially, he is so bright and enthusiastic and flexible.
The day after we moved (like 18hrs later, if you’re keeping track) we were on an airplane to Wisconsin to visit my family for a few days and see one of my sweet friends get married.
Sweet friend right there in the middle! And her really great new husband, my bff/sister Brooke and my favorite person in the world (who happens to look fantastic in a suit!)
Then we came back to our new home and I’ve been hard at work getting everything settled. Making multiple trips to Target and ALL the home goods stores. It’s all coming together and we’ve already gotten into our groove with normal things like bath time and costco runs and lots of cooking.
We took Hugo to see his first movie in a theater. We were downtown the other weekend and walked past the old historic theater, on a whim I grabbed a flyer and saw that they had just started a showing of Life of Pets, we’d been debating on taking him for a movie so we went for it. Annnndddd… It wasn’t terrible, but I think we’ll give him a good 6 months before we try again. Haha! Thank goodness for the bottomless popcorn, that kept all of us occupied through most of the movie.
And here’s a shoutout to the many, many watermelons our little family has consumed this summer. I have never. We’re averaging 3 a week. Hugo calls it “agua-melon” and it is the cutest thing. I’m not sure if its the heat or what but we’ve all been snacking non-stop.
