A few goals for this next to last month of the year. We woke up to a heavy frost this morning and Hugo was singing (more like SINGING at the top of his lungs) “Jingle Bells” on our way to the office, so you could say we’re off to a great start.
Practice being grateful:
I’m by nature an optimist and being grateful isn’t usually a struggle for me, but I have realized that this year that I’ve really leaned into being negative. I’m going to focus on thanking the Lord for his many kindnesses and my people for being so awesome.
Thoughtfully & carefully plan Christmas decor:
New place, new space! We moved over the summer and I quickly discovered that my usual Christmas setup will not work. I’m still not sure where we’re going to put the tree and we no longer have a fireplace, but I love a good decorating challenge! Our sweet sister is getting married in Florida right after Christmas so we will be spending the season here in Nashville but the actual holiday in an AirBnb (guys, I feel like I should just write a book on how to live full time in rental homes…) I need to plan decor that can easily be packed and moved with us, because I must bring the Christmas spirit with me wherever I go!
Have our Christmas cards made & mailed:
One of my favorite traditions! I love planning our outfits and picking out the designs. I’m almost 100% on our outfits this year, but need a good location. I would like to get these ordered a little early and sent out before Thanksgiving.
Complete clean eating goal for November:
As I mentioned yesterday, Josh and I have set a goal of clean eating through the month of November. We are letting ourselves have a treat day each week and then enjoying our Holidays, but staying pretty strict the rest of the time. I find that starting a healthy eating plan and going to the gym through November & December really helps to prevent that slump that comes after the New Year. I need to transfer my gym membership to our local spot and schedule in 3 classes a week.
Read and write a post with my thoughts on The Montessori Toddler:
I’ve seen a lot of buzz about this book and picked it up at the library yesterday. Already enjoying it and thinking about so many of the ideas and principles. Hugo is such a bright kid and I want to always be encouraging him as he learns.
Write a post of events happening this month in Franklin, TN:
Am I the only mom who finds out about fun or free events AFTER they’ve happened? These next few months are sure to have amazing things happening. Franklin, TN is such a family friendly town, I will be compiling a list and posting it. Please let me know if you have any events you would like for me to add.
I'd love to hear from you, leave a comment below!
