Oh my goodness! This one has taken me a minute to compile, I just want to say, BRAVO FRANKLIN! There are actually too many events to choose from and I am so excited having put this list together, what a great month ahead.
P.s. Being that we live just outside of Music City, I will be doing a separate post of Christmas concerts in the area.
Free Events:
December 6, 2019 – 6pm – Franklin Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square Kathy Lee Gifford and Jars of Clay will be performing at this wonderful night! More information here.
December 7 and 14, 2019 – 9:30am – Story time at the Franklin Visitor Center Hot cocoa and story time with your favorite holiday characters. More information here.
December 7, 2019 – 2pm – Franklin Kiwanis Christmas Parade Watch the sights and sounds of the season and the arrival of Santa Claus. More information here.
December 8, 2019 – 9am to 11am – Santa Cares at CoolSprings Galleria A sensory friendly experience for families and children. Free, but registration is required HERE and photos are available for purchase. More information here.
December 9, 2019 – 10am – Snack with Santa at Timberland Park Free event for children under 6, get pictures with Santa and decorate cookies. More information here.
December 14, 2019 – 2pm – Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade Don’t miss this quirky event hosted by Grand Marshall John Schneider (ahem… BO DUKE). More information here.
December 14 and 15, 2019 – A Dickens of a Christmas in Franklin An amazing street festival downtown Franklin. For more information and a schedule, click here.
Ongoing Events This Month:
December 6, 2019 – 1pm to 4:30pm – The Santa Experience with Amelia J. Moore Photograpy. Enjoy a private photo session with professional photographer and Santa. Includes the proofs to 4 of your favorite photos with the option to purchase the entire gallery and Christmas cards. $159 for groups up to 6 people. Click here to register.
Through December 28, 2019 – $25 per car – 6pm to 10pm – 2nd Annual Franktown Festival of Lights. Located at the Williamson County Ag Center, this years event features a mile long drive through hundreds of light displays. There will also be a Santa’s village with hot drinks and cookies, a petting zoo, activities and pictures with Santa. More information here.

FRANKLIN THEATER – White Christmas, The Grinch, Elf and more! Watch classic and modern Christmas movies it the beautiful old Franklin Theater. For dates, showtimes and tickets click here.
December 6 through 29, 2019 – Studio Tenn Presents Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Factory. Introduce your littles (or yourself, or, in my case, my husband…) to this glorious musical! 12/6 Cinderella Theater. Tickets here.

December 6 through 15, 2019 – Open House at the Governors Residence. A wonderful opportunity to see the inside of the Governors Residence all decorated for Christmas! Registration is free, but required and donations are being accepted on behalf of local nonprofits. Click here.
ALL MONTH LONG – Sugar Drop Bakery in Brentwood will have cookie, gingerbread and decorating classes this month. For a schedule and to register,click here.

December 5 through 8 – Elf the Musical by the StarBright Players at Freedom Middle School’s Shelby Theater. $12 per person. Tickets here.
December 7, 2019 – Jingle Bell Run/Walk at BiCentenniel Park – In support of the Arthritis Foundation. Pets and costumes encouraged! Register here.
December 14, 2019 – Holiday Tea Party – 3pm – Cedermont Farm Enjoy this kid-friendly tea party with Mrs. Claus at Cedermont Farm. Sweet treats & live music! $30 per person. Register here.
December 27 and 28, 2019 – 10am – Marshmallow Hike at Owl’s Hill in Brentwood Get out of the house and enjoy a hike that finishes up with hot cocoa. $10-$12 per person, register here.
