Here we go.
Another year, a new year, more Jesus, less of me, less stuff.
I don’t have lofty goals, last year took a lot of that out of me, in all honesty, there isn’t a lot left to plan or work towards. I have not loved living in a perpetual state of unknowing, but I do know that that it has helped me grow and that I’m more at peace than I was a year ago.
In moments of overwhelm, I always try to come back to my life mission statement which is to “Love God. Work hard. Make things beautiful.” These are the things I can do anywhere, in any season.
A few fun things ahead:
Renovating our master bathroom. I can’t wait for this one! We’ve been consulting with our “panel of experts” my mom knows her way around custom home builds and Josh’s dad who is a master plumber. I’m looking forward to getting rid of those super weird walls and sinks a la 1993.
Celebrate family milestones. One of the sisters is getting married next month. Josh and my dad are both having landmark birthdays and we’ll mark our 5th anniversary (which feels like one of our first big ones!)
Adding creative work to my daily schedule. I’ve taken a big break from social media this month and have been sewing and reading. I always forget how much I enjoy both of those things. I gave Josh a year membership to Masterclass for Christmas and already completed one of the classes myself (a gift that benefits everyone!)
Tell me, how do you plan and set goals for the year? Do you? How did you approach it for this new 2021?
I'd love to hear from you, leave a comment below!
