One of my favorite things to make and keep stocked in my pantry is granola. I’ve been making a variation of this simple granola recipe for as long as I can remember. It’s so easy to mix and match different types of nuts and dried fruits to get your perfect combination. This week I used pistachios, raisins, golden raisins, dried cherries and coconut flakes because that’s what I had hanging around.
Not only is this great to have on hand (make’s my goal of eating breakfast a little easier), but it’s one of my favorite hostess gifts to bring to friends. Adding a few cups of granola to a small bag and tying it up with a bow makes the perfect snack or breakfast the next morning for your hosts. (Here are some of my favorite treat bags for easy gifting CELLOPHANE BAGS and KRAFT PAPER BAGS WITH WINDOW)
I also love that this recipe is very allergy-friendly and it’s easy to swap out out for ingredients that better suit you. I use certified gluten free and organic oats. For a vegan option, you can substitute the honey for maple syrup.
