I think it is safe to assume that Josh & I have no intention of ever going into the home or bathroom renovation business. Most nights we fall into the guest room bed and laugh in disbelief at how slowly and painfully this bathroom is coming along.
It has been a few weeks since I last updated on our Bathroom Renovation (WEEK ONE post here) and since then we have had a 350lb tub moved upstairs, delayed shipments for vanities, travel, sub-contractor no shows, and a tile shower floor that will have to be completely redone.
This is the side of the HGTV shows that you don’t get to see. It’s a little different when you are living in the middle of the renovation too.
We are hopeful that this bathroom will be finished by the end of the month and then construction can begin on our smaller kids/hall bathroom.
I think I may start ordering some accessories next week. I need to look at rugs, I love these bathmats for our double vanity, wanting a tray for the bathtub and I’m on the lookout for some antique hooks.
Progress:
- Bathtub, vanities and mirrors delivered
- Sconces installed
- Flooring and trim installed
Still to do:
- Finish painting walls
- Re-do shower floor
- Install tub, vanities and toilet
- Clean and install chandelier (a funky find rescued from my parent’s barn!)
- Create a plan for the closet organization system
