Something came over me the other day and I ended up pouring my heart out in an Instagram post. Kinda pathetic and desperate and kinda needed. I was feeling the deep overwhelm of life and you know what? it helped. One hundred percent credited to the prayers that I knew were being lifted up and the encouraging words from women who have been there before too. I am very much a silent sufferer, convinced that nobody wants to hear about my problems, but that isn’t the truth, something good happens when you speak up.
And so, its April. My goodness! Here we go! The countdown is already on to when we start filming the next movie with a move to set happening in the next 2 weeks. Obviously, I’m not trying to accomplish anything crazy with all of that going on, but here are a few of my goals for this month.
Really, truly, CELEBRATE Easter:
We’ve had some profoundly irreverent Easter’s over the past few years, including a day spent traveling home from our honeymoon, and last year sick and eating at Cheesecake Factory while I cried into my salad. I know that the setting isn’t important, but this year (and we still have no idea where we will be on the day) I want to celebrate Easter properly, by preparing and quieting our hearts, attending our church’s services, and with good food and fun traditions shared with the people we love.
Stop with all the complaining:
I have been the worlds biggest complainer lately. It’s been so bad that my usually very encouraging husband has mentioned it and I know that it is actually affecting the tone of our home. For all of us, I need to focus on being positive and look for the humor as well as practice being more content.
Transition our move as smoothly as possible:
Our move happens sometime in the next few weeks and I want to prepare best as I can so that we go from “home to home”. It is my goal to keep and adjust our routines, to create cozy places and to make it fun too. Hugo probably won’t remember this season, but I want him to look back at childhood and remember how much fun we were having.
