It feels surreal to me the fact that we packed up our life and moved to a movie set for 6 months. Six. Whole. Months. We stuffed our car, closed up our house and drove to Fairhope, Alabama where we lived while Josh produced and completed filming of our newest film (Jesus Revolution if you’re curious).
The timing of the whole thing couldn’t have been more perfect and there were providential moments along the way that confirmed for us that this was the place we needed to be. We loved every minute of our time there. Fairhope is wonderful and in many ways felt like home to us.
Making a movie is like being in a time warp. The days are so long and busy and anything can happen in the course of a few hours and then the next thing you know it’s been several months. Our challenge is always making sure that we (Josh) comes up for air, that we are having quality time together and staying connected to our families along the way.
And now, we are home. I am taking this week of settling back in and to re-entering our life here in Franklin. We were back at our church yesterday. Have run into half a dozen friends. I just got home from Costco and restocked the kitchen. I’m looking forward to planting my garden and getting to some house projects. It just feels so good.
I didn’t mean to take a month off of blogging, this has truly been one of my favorite things so far this year, but something had to go in the midst of the crazy. I have a few April posts that I will share in the next few weeks that I didn’t have time to write in real time.
Wishing you a very happy May!
